Mari > gettin some grub at a random street side cafe in greenwich village. cute area, i'd totally live there if the average rent wasn't like a million dollars.

Mari > central park... this meadow was called strawberry fields or something. pretty amazing park though i doubt we even walked through 20 percent of it. my feet had a hard time coping with ten miles a day in flat rubber slippers!

Mari > oh yeah, the classic token hand-held self portrait! (many more to come unfortunately!)

Mari > my brother, keizo's graduation in upstate troy. miserably wet and freezing! i've never seen so many sad people in stupid ponchos before!

Mari > i had to stand up to see above all the damn umbrellas. the second we heard keizo's name we cheered like psychos and then ran inside for cover.

Mari > my mom, brother, dad, and me once we made it out of the rain.

Mari > our lovely room at the ye old carlton arms hotel! holy cow it was insane. it's what $99 will get you in manhattan! i was a little freaked out at first after finding out that we had to use a padlock on our door and then my uncle had a mouse in his room... but i got used to it and the people there were so friendly and even though the rooms were painted weird, they were clean. i'd go there again.... unless of course i was loaded.

Mari > so the rooms were all supposed to have been painted by different artists... i don't know though this one looked like a novice.... a 5 year old could have done a better job.

Mari > who would have three huskys in the city?? seems like too much work to me...
see the entrance to the carlton arms in the upper left corner?

Mari > nasty little pastry monsters in a bakery window
